1. What RemoteRise is
RemoteRise is a free informational website that aggregates publicly-available remote job listings and adds editorial context for beginners. It is not a recruiter, not an employer, not an applicant tracking system, and not a placement agency.
2. Use of the site
You may use RemoteRise for any lawful personal purpose. You may not scrape the site at a rate that disrupts service, attempt to break into our infrastructure, or use the site to distribute malware, illegal content, or harassment.
3. Job listings
Job listings on RemoteRise are reproduced and summarized from third-party sources. We do our best to ensure accuracy and timeliness, but RemoteRise makes no warranty as to the availability, accuracy, or quality of any listing or employer. You apply to listings at your own discretion. Always verify employer claims independently before accepting an offer or providing sensitive personal information.
4. Application messages
If you use the contact form on a listing page to message an employer, your message is forwarded to the employer through the contact details they have published. RemoteRise is not a party to the resulting communication or any employment relationship that may follow.
5. No employment relationship
Nothing on RemoteRise creates an employer-employee or principal-agent relationship between you and RemoteRise. We are not responsible for the conduct of employers, the terms of any offer, the timeliness of any payment, or the resolution of any dispute between you and an employer.
6. Content ownership
Editorial content on RemoteRise (guides, category descriptions, FAQ answers) is the property of RemoteRise and may not be republished without written permission. Job listing content remains the property of the original employer or source publisher; we publish it under fair-use and aggregation principles common to job aggregator sites.
7. No guarantees
RemoteRise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will find a job, that any specific listing will hire you, or that the site will be available without interruption. Where local law allows, RemoteRise's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which is zero.
8. Indemnification
You agree to hold RemoteRise harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the site, including but not limited to claims arising from messages you send to employers through our contact forms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RemoteRise is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to file in your home country.
